- Universal adapter (needed for UK/EU/AU plugs)
- Phone with offline maps downloaded (Baidu Maps or Amap)
Clothing & Essentials
China’s north-south temperature range is extreme: summer Guangzhou 35°C vs Harbin 25°C; winter Hainan 20°C vs Beijing -10°C. Check your destination’s weather. Universal essentials: comfortable walking shoes (expect 15,000–20,000 steps/day), compact umbrella, sunscreen (SPF50+ for plateau areas).
